Field Guide

Here are some subjects I've written small articles about with which you can find a bit of a rough guide to working within your own home and needs.

Staying True

We all know that being a parent, as well as just living a busy and modern lifestyle makes it very difficult at times to stay true to the things that connect us to our home, this earth, as well as keeping us focused on the goals we have for our lives overall...Read on for a few daily recommendations as far as staying true to that connection that are simple and quick to do, but make an impact.

Pagan Motherhood

Finding one's way as a mother, as a pagan, as a parent are all difficult feats. For myself, my religious and spiritual journey? Well, it's been a twisted and winding path that at times I've faltered and strayed from. Some moments I've tried to walk away from the gifts I've been giving, the calls I've felt in my heart and inner most being...

.As a mother, I have doubted and questioned myself, but like my spiritual core, once I've put faith in-trusted in myself, magical moments have happened and inspiration comes to me.

I do live in a household where my husband and partner believes in something and follows a different religious path to myself. I have always felt that respecting someone's free will and choice to answer to the God or Gods they wish was an intrigral part of being a good steward to my own powers and beliefs as well as how I would want to raise my younglings.

Giving my children the free choice to say right or left, then backtrack, change their minds, discover themselves, and lead by good example is paramount. I can show them my traditions, share with them rituals and sing them stories. Teach them the language, answer their questions, BUT also allow them to do the same with my husband...

I hope in sharing some of my experiences, my journey, it can lead you to a better balance in your own journey. When I began all this there was little to no information accessable to me to guide me whatsoever to my motherhood or parenting as a pagan, let alone a mixed religious family in any harmony.
